Sadly i do not have as much to share with you as the original devblog due to the time of month and the current circumstances (we are pushing to release the official server)
I will start by prefacing the fact that my SSD partition was corrupted and it got wiped clean, this set me back as i lost the things i was currently working on, i also did lose some psd files and some older things i had never backed up like the code and assets for the eye-dye system ect. (this is not a big deal it just means redoing work i had already done)
everything else is backed up on git-repo’s so no “real” work is actually lost but it was still an inconvenience for me. I have now started to backup assets ect as i am working on them to avoid this issue moving forward.
Our pts server did go offline and we haven’t been able to contact the person who manages it so it has stayed offline.
this was not really a big concern for us as we are more worried about pushing to release before christmas.
this could mean that any account made after beta (in-game account) may be lost)
this has no effect on accounts that were made during the beta test.
It simply means that you would have to register a new in-game account on your network account if you made it post beta (during pts).
but we will make an official statement once we know if we will be getting back into the pts vps or not.
I can finally say that we are approaching our release window, our tasks are minimal and we will be moving everything over to an official launch server, that just leaves final prep and announcement to finalize everything.
I have put temporary measures in place to disable “couple” features in-game due to an unresolved bug.
many things will start to take place post-release as we have been prioritizing launching the server rather then filling it with features and QoL updates.
You can now clearly find out where to exchange your bounty tokens, by finding the new vending machine NPC identifiable by its new map-maker you should find one in every city and nearby every dungeon that uses a bounty board.
Moving forward you will also notice that all mount tier pets (the ones that can level up / evolve)
are all utilizing the same pool of stats (the paris doll pet stats) this is to encourage variety and choice, the stats will probably be improved/ adjusted and reworked at a later date and more pools may be added but this was a decision made in the mean-time
non mount pets will most likely be bugged and have no stats at all, this should simply be reported on the forums and will be resolved on a case by case basis, as these types of pets use an older system and we did not want to delay the release while we resolved it.
Beta rewards are being prepared and you will get a more detailed look at all of their contents in an official announcement soon, but for now i will show you a preview of the back item and for those that did not see it, the medal.
Some minor adjustments were made to the port of winds map around the new vending machine to make it fit in more with its surrounding (also inspired by Gaukh i gave the chairs PhysX collision so you can sit on them because that improves gameplay a lot)
as a disclaimer, i have also postponed adding the functionality to “cosmetic coupons” as i haven’t had time to sit down and write any code, this will however be done asap post launch, this means that free costumes won’t really be available straight away and the cosmetic section of the cash shop will be a bit useless, please be patient :]
